My wife fell in love with Rottweilers, and had to have one. I owned one in the past and knew they weren't a good pick for first time owners, and this was to be her first dog. I figured that, with my experience with the breed, things would be fine, but the pup we got turned out to be very HIGH DRIVE, and I needed help!
I looked around and was very concerned with the way dogs were being trained and the way owners were being instructed to train them. The methods used are fine in some cases, but with a dog like ours, this is serious business, and not to be taken lightly.
In a major stroke of luck, I found Kentuckiana K-9! With decades of experience, and an uncanny ability to understand the dogs thoughts and feelings, this was EXACTLY what we needed! After our training with Kentuckiana K-9, our once unruly pup became, and remains, a model citizen in the dog and people community.
When you are looking for "world class", you generally don't find it in Kentucky folks. Well, Kentuckiana K-9 IS world class! Their experience and knowledge base is rivaled by very few anywhere on the globe.
Whether you plan to leave your dog with them, or want to learn with private lessons, you can't go wrong with Kentuckiana K-9! It is an investment that will last the the life of the dog, and ultimately it will improve the quality of your pets and YOUR life.
I know we are glad we found Kentuckiana K-9, and so is our wonderfully well behaved, Otto.
Absolutely the best. No questions too small and free advice is always available. Mr. Dover trained my Doberman, Diablo, who at 5 months was totally out of control. After a short stay with Bob, he was a completely different dog. When I picked him up I couldn't believe what I saw. Bob also had a personalized DVD of my dog with all the instruction I needed to make the training work for me and my family. I would highly recommend his services to anybody, he's the real deal. (VERY PROFESSIONAL)
I just recently picked up my Doberman, Diesel. I dropped him off a month ago for obedience training. At first I was scared but when I picked him up he was a whole new dog. Bob showed me step by step on how to train him and he gave me a dvd on him once he was trained and wow is all I can say if you ever want a dog trained you need to come here.
I just want to say thank you for the exceptional training you gave my dog, Shogun.
Before your training, taking this 160 pound Great Dane for a walk was an unpleasant task. Now it is a pleasure. It is also more pleasant having a "mannerly" dog at home.
I have a 1-year old German Shephard who went to Bob for Advanced Obedience Training when he was 6 months old. Wild and rambunctious were generous terms to describe "Kodie's" behavior during that time. He routinely used my home as his track and field course as well as walking me twice a day. I knew it was time to do something about his behavior and decided to enroll him in Kentuckiana K-9 Advanced Obedience Training for 12 weeks.
In the beginning, I was reluctant but after my initial conversation with Bob regarding his training schedule, I no longer harbored any insecurity. His knowledge and approach regarding behavior and obedience training was exciting and impressive. I immediately trusted him. In December 2004, Kodie completed his training. The difference in his behavior is remarkable.
Bob is trustworthy, honest, great fun to be around and truly loves and respects his profession.
I hired Bob Dover to professionally train my 15 month old golden retriever, Justice.I wanted to pursue an obedience show career with this dog. Bob, Justice and I met twice weekly for 4 weeks. Bob was patient with both of us. He was also very professional and diplomatic with my many questions. In 4 short weeks, Bob not only successfully trained Justice, he trained me!
Bob took the time and effort to coach me on training techniques as well as handler protocol. Because of Bob's attention to detail, high standards and top-quality customer service, Justice completed his Companion Dog title in only 6 shows.
I now train my other dogs as well because of the excellent guidance provided by Bob. However, it is reassuring to know that Bob is only a phone call away if I need his help!
