My name is Jerry and I am a retired Miami-Dade Police Officer, having honorably retired in 1989. Although I did not work in the K-9 unit of the Miami-Dade Police Department, I did serve on the Governor's committee to standardize police dog training and certification, which are the current US Police Canine Association (USPCA) competition exercises. I have personally known and worked with Bob for the past 27 years. Bob is one of the finest dog trainers I have met and have had the pleasure to train with. Bob owned the largest drug sniffing drug business in the US, Canine Security Inc. In fact, he was instrumental in getting the private drug detection business going in the US. He was also the first DEA licensed company, which allowed him to legally purchase and use actual narcotics in his training programs. He worked closely with the US Customs Service, Miami-Dade Police Department and numerous local police departments in the Miami Florida area, in both drug detection and routine police dog training. As owner of Canine Security, Bob went to Mexico, Germany, Canada, the Bahamas and multiple states to work and train with law enforcement canine units in both drug detection and attack training. Bob is one of the most knowledgeable and dedicated dog trainers I have known in my 20 years in the business. I am proud to recommend Bob for any endeavor regarding dog training or drug dog detection work you may be considering him for. He will be a valuable addition to any training program. Jerry Bell
In the years I have known Mr. Dover, I have had the occasion to purchase three dogs from him for use in K-9 police work. The dogs prove to be of high quality and meet the high standards required by our Police Department. In dealing with Mr. Dover, I found him to be honest, dependable and helpful in providing additional training needed for the dogs. Mr. Dover has lived up to ever guarantee and personal promise made to our Police Department. Our department has the second largest K-9 division in Dade County, of which we take a great deal of pride. Mr. Dover's work exhibits his pride in himself and his business. I find him to be an expert in his profession and will continue my business dealing with him, as well as recommending him to others. Our canine Aris has been with us now for six months. Since his arrival in late January, both he and his handler have been very active. I would like to go back to those subzero temperatures in late January and thank you personally for giving up so much of your time teaching and training George how to handle Aris. I am very pleased with Aris' adaptation to police work and the training he received before he was delivered to us. A number of other Police Officers have come to me expressing a desire to become dog handlers. It is my intention to ask for a second canine this fall when I present my budget request to the Carmel Town Board. Should this request be granted, you may expect to hear from me again soon. Russell
